City of Los Angeles Delivers Update on EBEWE Ordinance in light of COVID-19

Existing Buildings Energy and Water Efficiency Ordinance (EBEWE) compliance deadlines have been suspended until further notice for 2019 benchmarking and and January thru July 2021 audits and retro-commissioning. LADBS has confirmed they will provide six months notice ahead of new deadlines.

Learn About Building Energy Asset Score & Audit Template

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Building Energy Asset Score (Asset Score) is a national standardized tool for assessing the physical and structural energy efficiency of commercial and multifamily residential buildings. The following two webinar trainings will provide an overview of Asset Score from concept to implementation and the Audit Template, a web-based tool for entering building energy audit data, performing data validation, exporting and sharing audit data, and submitting data to cities that have local energy audit ordinances. Webinar: Introduction to Building Energy Asset Score

Step by step, you will learn how to create an energy model of your building and generate the Asset Score report in less than 30 minutes. No modeling experience required. You’ll also be able to navigate through the DOE’s online resources and learn how to understand your Asset Score report.

Webinar: Introduction to the Audit Template

In this training, we will demonstrate how Audit Template can support a standard ASHRAE Level 2 energy audit. Step by step, we will show you how to create an account, choose the corresponding template, share your building data, and output your data in various formats. You will also learn how Audit Template can help maximize your audit data utilization and value through standard formatting, automated error checking, and integration with other DOE tools.
